7th St. Theatre, built in 1928, is one of the West Coast's only remaining theatres with an old-style atmosphere. This beautiful and unique theater is designed and decorated to give the occupants a light and airy feeling of being under the night sky. This stunning venue is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as of 1987.
7th St. Theatre hosts events all year, showing classic movies on specific weekends, and hosts an opportunity for the community's young artists, known as 'the 7th St. Kids," to participate in, a musical performance.
Hoquiam Castle

Hoquiam Castle, a special and beautiful part of Hoquiam's history, was built over a three year span by lumber baron Robert Lytle. Building starting in 1897 and was completed in 1900. After just ten years of living in the 10,000 square-foot mansion, Mr. Lytle gifted his mansion to his niece as a wedding present and moved to Portland.
After sitting vacant for many years, the mansion passed through a successive number of owners. It served as a Bed and Breakfast for a few years. The most recent owner passed away in December, 2019.
Hoquiam Castle has been declared a state and national historic site. As of 2023, it is a private residence. One can still drive by and enjoy views of this beautiful historic home.
Hoquiam Olympic Stadium

Hoquiam Olympic Stadium is yet another building in Hoquiam that is on the National Register of Historic Places. This stadium is entirely made of wood and was built in 1938. Since it was built, it has served as a sports venue for baseball and football teams of the area, and has also been used for many other types of events, including car shows, festivals and more.

The Polson Museum is named for one of the wealthiest lumber families in the history of Washington State. This museum is both loved and in turn loves the Hoquiam Community. If you are looking for a fun experience and want to learn more about the area's history, this is a perfect place to come and learn.

Stewart Memorial Park

This gorgeous wooded area surrounding Stewart Creek provides a one-mile hiking loop that can be walked by nearly everyone, including the kids.
You can even bring your dog on a leash.

Take a one-half hour drive to the coast, to either Ocean Shores WA or Westport WA. Both of these towns offer salty and sandy activities. Fully enjoy the beach, comb the beach for treasures, rocks, or shells, fly kites, bring binoculars and look for shorebirds and seagulls. Both towns cater to tourism.
