Chestnut Cottage Restaurant: Elegant and upscale atmosphere, delicious American cuisine, courteous dining experience in Port Angeles Washington.
Private booths ring the spacious interior of the restaurant, and a fascinating and eclectic collection of memorabilia, plates, and photos hang on the walls. Very high ceilings lend added graciousness to the ambience.
Steaming hot coffee, fresh, melt-in-your-mouth bakery items, and a can't-go-wrong menu make this friendly restaurant one of our favorites.
I love the food. Try a gooey cinnamon roll with any of the breakfast omelets. Their selection of hamburgers is killer. Or order the spinach salad laden with bacon pieces (no 'bits' here!), onion rings, and tangy dressing.

Chestnut Cottage Restaurant
Chestnut Cottage Restaurant is not hard to find.
In fact, it might be hard to miss.
It is located on the north side of Front Street, which is actually Highway 101 headed west, one block east of Race Street. Race Street is east of downtown Port Angeles.
Sequim Washington is 16 miles (25.75 km) east of Chestnut Cottage, a drive of about 25 minutes.
Forks Washington is 57 miles (91.7 km) west of Chestnut Cottage, a drive of about one hour 15 minutes.
Starting from a small space in downtown Port Angeles, Chestnut Cottage has been creating wonderful breakfasts and lunches since 1976, moving to its lovely current location on Front Street east of downtown Port Angeles when it was built in 1992.
Chestnut Cottage spares no effort to find and utilize the highest quality of ingredients. For example, they special-order heavy cream, and prepare their baked goods and some egg dishes with USDA 93 score butter (highest quality available). Chestnut Cottage also uses hardwood smoked bacon, cut extra thick by a local Seattle butcher.
The Chestnut Cottage chefs are at the restaurant by five in the morning, preparing their hand-made, made-from-scratch baked goods, hand-mixed batters, sauces, dressings, and soups.
One of Chestnut Cottage's main passions and goals, besides creating delicious food, is courteous service to their guests in order to provide every guest an experience beyond their expectations. The entire staff is of the same mindset, some of which have been with Chestnut Cottage for decades, and have the same goal of making each and every one of their guest's days a little brighter through food, atmosphere, and splendid service.
Chestnut Cottage hopes that your positive experience will help you feel like a part of their family.
I visited this restaurant on September 27th, 2020, for the first time EVER.
I was not sure what to expect at all, despite everyone I know raving about how great it is.
Our group of five sat outside in the sun, which was really nice. I will first note that every single person at the table loved what they ordered to eat and drink.
I had their Greek Salad which had artichoke, kalamata olives, feta cheese and a lot of other stuff on it, as well as a basil vinaigrette to go on top. I can honestly say that I was incredibly grateful that I go it, it was DELICIOUS!!!!
The other orders were a chicken and brie panini, a Belgian waffle, A barbecue chicken salad, and I think the other was a special, but it was like a curried salad. All of these were apparently extremely delicious as well.
